Not sure what to say?

Professor Annunziata was my English Lit teacher during my time as an exchange student at SUNY Oswego during the 1994/95 academic year. I fondly remember him as an engaging and challenging teacher, and as a warm-hearted human being. Sit tibi terra levis.

I have just now learned of Professor Annunziata´s passing. Over 50 years ago I was an eager student in his classes. He was a wonderful inspiration, challenging us with his daring and creative thinking. He was truly one of my most memorable teachers.

Prof. Annunziata was my colleague in the English Dept. at SUNY Oswego. When he retired in December 1999, he passed his courses in medieval literature to me -- an inestimable gift. He was a generous man and a good colleague, and he was, informally, an excellent mentor. I valued his advice and judgment, his professionalism, his broad knowledge of medieval culture and literature, and his inexhaustible sense of humor. Thank you, Tony, for all you were, to so many of your students and colleagues.

Prof. Annunziata was my colleague in the English Dept. at SUNY Oswego. When he retired in December 1999, he passed his courses in medieval literature to me--a generous act and an inestimable gift. He was a magnanimous man and a good colleague, and he was, informally, an excellent mentor. I valued his advice and judgment, his professionalism, his broad knowledge of medieval culture and literature, and his inexhaustible sense of humor. Thank you, Tony, for all you were.

Dr. Annunziata had encouraged me to take his class in Chaucer in 1965, and, although a mediocre student, I was yet inspired by Dr. Annunziata to continue in the study of medieval literature. The experience of taking that course was most rewarding over a lifetime.

I am so sorry to learn of Tony's passing. I remember him as a very kind colleague at SUNY Oswego, with a good sense of humor, and devotion to his discipline and his students. My condolences to his family.

Requiesce in pace et in amore, Tony. -Mary Sutton Pobedinsky

I'm sending my deepest sympathy to you all. I lived across the street from Dr. Annuziata, Mrs. Annunziata and Wendy in Oswego many years ago. I remember them all fondly, especially when I get back home and do the car tour of the East side! Please accept my sympathy and know that he is in heaven with Wendy watching down without pain and in comfort. Respectfully, Melanie Ziel NYC
