Anthony Delwayne Bennett, but to many was called "Wayne", "Bennett" or "Pops" was born on February 20,1961 to the union of Gideon and Allie Bennett.  He confessed his love for Christ at an early age.


He attended Kansas City, Missouri Public Schools and was a graduate of Central High school Class of 1979.  He attended Baker University August of 1979 to May of 1983, he later went on to join the United States Air Force November of 1984 to April of 1988 becoming a U.S. Veteran.


Anthony had a passion for music and was considered to many a "Musical Genius."  His saxophone was his favorite but he could play just about anything.


Anthony departed this earthly life on January 10, 2022.


He was proceeded in death by his son Anthony Tiaje' Bennett, his parents Gideon and Allie Bennett , his siblings Charles Lewis, Terrance Lewis, Curtistine Lewis, Maralyn Lewis, Veronica Bennett and Diane Bates.


Anthony leaves to cherish his memories his children, Ashley Willis, Iishya Bennett, Cierra Bennett, Jaliayh Bennett, Curtis Ray and Christorpher Miller; his siblings Steven Bennett, Vernita Bennett, LeRoy Bennett (Bobbi), Warren Bennett (Christine), Andrew Bates, Garald Bennett, Maurice Bennett( Jodi), 12 grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friend and close friend Anthony Williams.


Services for Mr. Bennett will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 22, 2022, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Private disposition.  Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the chapel.
