Not sure what to say?

My Dad and I and my infant son Alexander visited Anthony's grave this morning. It is such a beautiful, peaceful place. My family and I think about him all the time. I have very vivid memories of him on our river rafting trip and at all our girl scout meetings. I think he was about fourteen years old the last time I saw him. I remember when he was about eight years old he wanted to stay downstairs with all the girls during a sleepover and he had to be carried upstairs. I hold these...

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Bento,
We are Aleksi Backer's grandparents. We missed Anthony's funeral because we were in Europe for our son's wedding. Now, we miss his memorial service as we are in Spain where my husband is working. Some day, please God, we will get to meet the parents of the young man we grew to love and whom we still miss. May your many marvelous memories you have of your soften and make bearable your loss.

Anthony -- We salute you eternally for your bravery, service to country and the tremendous sacrifice you made for us all.

Nene was a huge part of my childhood- growing up with his big sister Summer - he was always defying limits (sometimes those of authority, sometimes of gravity). Will never forget all the joy and commotion he brought to the world. Love you always Anthony. And love to the entire Bento Family.

Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow, Anthony will remain in our hearts as our hero. Never to be forgotten. And in our prayers,Tony, Penny, Summer, Nickie, Colleen and the entire family, for this sacrifice.

Kamalu's personality was unlike anyone I've ever known. He died for the most noble of causes - the love of his country and in defense of us all. His wonderful spirit lives on in my heart, and in the heart of anybody who shuns the word "can't". God bless Anthony Kamalu Bento.

Anthony-our time together was entirely too short. I was looking forward to helping with your fantastic little boy. I have been affected by your loss in ways I never thought possible.
I have cried a lot, and am teary eyed even as I write this.
I love you, my son.
