To the Carlino family: It has been an honor becoming friends with Tony since meeting him at Devonshire Estates where my mother lived and continuing our friendship at Mount Carmel Care Center. His parents gave him written permission to enlist in the Navy at 17, and he proudly served our country. Tony credited his best friend for saving his life on the USS Henrico moments before a bomb fell between them.
