Anthony J. (Tony) Colone Jr.

Anthony J. "Tony" Colone Jr., 63, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. Born in Ft. Wayne, Tony graduated from Central Catholic High School as well as IPFW where he earned his associated degree in criminal justice. Tony served the City of Fort Wayne as a police officer for 31 years before becoming a police officer for IPFW where he finished his career after 10 years, retiring in 2014. Tony loved electronics and had his own store COLAB for several years. He also enjoyed shopping and cooking but his pride and joy were his family and grandchildren. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Jeri Colone of Fort Wayne; children; Anthony "AJ" Colone, III. of Fort Wayne, Jami (Joseph) Powell of Chicago, IL, Joseph "Joey" (Amelia) Colone of Fort Wayne, grandchildren, Bennett and Eloise Powell, Rose Colone; brother, Mark Colone of Fort Wayne, and sister, Toni Ann Tyner of Fort Wayne. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Rose Colone, Sr. Mass of Christian Burial is 1:00 pm, Monday, October 5, 2015 at St. Jude Catholic Church with calling one hour prior, Fr. Robert D'Souza officiating. Calling at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road Sunday, October 4, 2015, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a rosary service at 3:30 pm.
