I knew Brother Anthony as a student at Power Memorial Academy. He was a great teacher, counselor and role model. I am glad I got to meet him and thank him as we marched up 5th Ave. again in the S. Patrick's Day parade in NYC. several years ago.
My condolences to his family, it is extra hard to lose "a great one".

I just wish I got to know this cousin. I am very sorry I never got to know you on Earth. One day in Heaven, I'll have all of Eternity to know you. Thank God for small gifts.

My first encounter with Bro. D’Adamo was in 1961 as a Freshman at Power Memorial Academy in Manhattan. He was the Band Moderator, and I was in the band. He was young, handsome and cool. A no-B.S. guy, who was respected by every one of the kids in school.
He managed to effectively herd about 120 raunchy, randy, and irreverent adolescents a couple of times a week at Band Practice. He was usually called in at least once during every session by Mr. Gene Mora, the Band Director, after he...

Bro Anthony, we will always remember when we were in Rome, and you met us, and tok us around Rome. We wil always remember our visit to Boy's Town and seeing how the boys get taught, to be on their own. We were also happy to meet Monsignor Carroll Abbing and bro Moffit. We also met some of the boys, and sat in the dinning room, to eat. Our visit will always be etched in our memory. Some day, we would like to visit Boy's town again.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow attendee and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself … any man’s death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
