Not sure what to say?

Tony, I can't believe it has been 12 years since your passing. I sincerely hope you have been reunited with your beloved Dottie on the other side. Please give her my regards. Miss you both.

Words couldn't begin to discribe what Uncle Tony meant to me. All the times spent at Dot's Corner Store, playing games with Aunt Dottie, the Wildwood vacations as well as knowing the he could teach me the past family life in Hartford and growing up in a big family. You were very special to me Uncle Tony and will be in my prayers and thoughts forever.

Unfortunately, I just learned of Tony's passing last night (5/11). I am so very sorry that I did not know about it sooner. I had gone to see him at St. Francis Hospital shortly after his stroke, but he was unable to open his eyes. Tony was the most generous person I ever met. He helped everyone in the neighborhood, including my own family. He always liked to have good natured fun and he loved his wife Dottie dearly. Not even Cleopatra had such a loyal and loving partner.
I too grew up...

Tony had a huge heart and helped many in need. I remember one summer he and Dot took a bunch of us along on their vacation to Wildwood, NJ. A very memorable time for us young teenagers. He will always be fondly remembered and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Tony was the 'Good Shepherd' of the neighborhood.

Tony was a father figure to me and so many of those of us who grew up around "The Corner" or "Tony's" as we called it. He created a community that touched so many lives. He was compassionate to those who needed his help, yet jacked up those who needed to be jacked up. And he loved to have fun, talk (debate) sports, recall memories of Front Street, etc. We all mourn his passing. Our collective sympathies to the family.

"Johnny D" I am sorry to hear of your brother's passing, our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family

Johnny - My deepest sympathy on the loss of your Dad. My heartfelt condolences... Sincerely, Verona Backiel Schlosky.
