Spending time with Dad

As I sit here with Christmas staring down upon us yet again; I am having a funny rememory of the Christmas of 1980. Joe was out on the Ship and through various travelings over the holidays I found myself at home in NY with Mom, Dad and Anthony. I was so close to giving birth that Dad was scared that if I sneezed too hard I'd go into labor. That poor man; I don't think he got a good deep breath until Joe had me safely back in Va. And of course knowing this Anthony took full advantage of it by...

Thank you to my lovely wife for keeping this page alive.

Here is another re-memory s told by Joe;

"There are so many good memories that he left us with and that's what we should do everyday, remember the many happy times we all had with him.....
The one that stands out for me is the day I left for the Navy. He took me to the recruiting station at 5:00 AM and as the bus left to take us to Fort Hamilton, I looked out the window and saw Dad with the most forlorn look on his face that I had never seen before. It was at that moment that...

It's been more that a year since Dad left us to go be with Mom. I'm gathering stories [re-memories] I'll call "FUNNIEST GRAMPA MOMENTS" and add to this book of memories. I hope they'll be enjoyed for a very long time. I love and Honor You Dad.....Lori

This is a re-memory from and as told by Daniel, our son;
"I remember a post Christmas visit to Grandma and Grandpa's one year, I'm probably around 10 or 12yrs old and Grandpa took me to Toys R Us to buy me a Christmas present....

This is a re-memory story as told by our Brother Anthony; "One of my favorite memories was when I was around 9 or so. I asked him if he would take me to Southards Pond to go fishing. At the time I did not know you could drive right to the lake. I told him we had to walk the trail about 2 miles to get to it. It was so muddy and wet with puddles but we kept going. After an hour and a half walk we get to the pond and then see a car pull up, and a guy gets out with his fishing rod! Dad just...

Joe, Lori, and Daniel - I was very sadden to hear of the lose of your beloved Father and Grandfather. You all are in my thoughts and prayers during this time. Hugs from NC
