Not sure what to say?

Sylvia - I am so sorry to hear about Tony. It was only by accident I came across the announcement. Even though we've been out of touch for many years I still remember the great times we all shared. My heart goes out to you and your family. Candace (Rai) Reed, Sunset Beach, CA.

My sincere regards to the Lang family. I went to high school and college with Tony and always found him to be a genuine, kind and fun-loving friend. Though we lost track over the years, in reading his tributes...I see a life very well lived.

May your wonderful memories soothe your loss.

Dear Silvia,

My deepest sympathies to you and your family. It is with the greatest sadness that I learned our loss of Tony. I have been isolated in the Boston area since the early 1970s, and have spent little time in Ann Arbor, but remember growing up with the Lang family as if it was yesterday. They were warm and energizing for the entire community. Tony’s father Walker and my father, Don Cress were inseparable friends having grown up together in Ann Arbor. Shortly after WWII...

Silvia, I never met your husband but I wish to extend my sympathy. He sounds like a wonderful husband and father. My you find comfort in knowing that others care.

Our deepest sympathies to Sylvia, the Lang children and Tony's extended family. The words "courageous" and "dignified" at the top of the page describe Tony perfectly. He coached my daughter a few years ago and quickly became her favorite mentor because of his quiet, calm, yet knowledgeable demeanor. He had the patience of a saint when dealing with the complexities of coaching teenage girls. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on a bucket and talking Tiger baseball, Red Wings hockey and many other...

Upon returning to Ann Arbor three years ago following a long absence, I ran into Tony at the Ice Cube where he was attending his daughter's hockey game. Despite the many years since we had last spoken, he was the same friendly and engaging man I remembered - complete with his million dollar smile. I am so sorry to hear about your loss and wish to extend to your entire family my condolences.

To The Friends and Family of Tony Lang:

Tony's passing has triggered a great deal of email dialogue among his classmates at Ann Arbor Pioneer High School (Class of 1972) spread all across the country. Although many of us hadn't seen Tony in years, to a person we all remembered him as a thoughtful, charming, engaging, and altogether upstanding friend. We wish to extend our very deepest condolences to the Lang family. May our special friend and classmate rest in peace forever.

Our deepest sympathies to the Lang family. Tony was one of the first Coaches to approach our daughter, Kelsea, on joining the Ann Arbor Gold Fastpitch team back in 2007. He was one of her favorite Coaches as not only did he teach but taught with patience as only a 14 year old needed. We were looking forward to having him and seeing him again as a Coach and friend this year but the good Lord knew that he was needed in another place. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family...

My deepest sympathies and regards to the Lang family. I grew up with Tony (Jim Grace is my brother) and have many fond memories of him and his family. I will remember Tony in my prayers.
