Booneville—Anthony Grant “Tony” Langford, 25, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at his home. Born March 28, 1985 in Tampa, FL, he was the son of Jenetta Louise Hinkle Langford and the late Alan Keith Langford. He lived in Smithville for 15 years before moving to Prentiss County. He attended Smithville Schools and a U.S. Army veteran serving in Iraq. He enjoyed baseball, playing video games with his friends and will be sorely missed.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Tommy Whaley officiating. Burial will be in the Haughton Memorial Park.
Survivors include his mother, Jennetta L. “Judy” Langford of Baldwyn; two brothers, Christopher Keith Langford (Allison) of Amory and Alan Lee Langford (Jackie) of Tupelo; grandmothers, Doris Jean Stoker of Smithville and Mauveline Langford of Mooreville; and a special friend, Staci Lynn Jasch of Booneville.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandfathers, Albert Isaac Langford and Grant J. Hinkle; and grandmother, Etta Mae Hurst Hinkle.
Pallbearers will be friends.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home and will continue until service time on Saturday.
Although I cannot attend the services I wanted to tell let you know how sorry I am and offer my sincerest condolences. All of you are in mine and my familys prayers.
