Not sure what to say?

I was catching up on some reading this morning and noticed a letter to the editor in the Sun Press about Tony. I was deeply saddened to hear about his passing and I would like to offer my heart-felt condolences and prayers to his family.

Tony will always have a special place in my memory, and my family's memory, because he was the barber that my five year old son adored. Tony was the one who cut his hair "forever", as my son says. I guess three years is forever for a five year...

Just found out today of Tony's passing. I am sure that if there is any place in Heaven like Las Vegas Tony and Joan are there.Having a grand old time. What a great guy! I will miss your stories Tony.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I learned this morning about Tony's passing. I stepped into Joe Sgro's barbershop and, as I did for the last 30 years, I loudly asked, "Where is my friend Tony?" Joe's daughter looked at me sadly and said, "You will have to choose among the three of us. Tony won't be cutting your hair anymore."

I have known Tony for some 30 years, and was always impressed by his sunny disposition. Never did I hear him complain or say an unkind word about anyone. Our conversation rambled all the...

I was stunned to learn today of Tony's passing and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family. He was so proud of you and I know his loss is a deep and enduring grief.
Such a good man and such a class act. He will be missed by his legions of friends.

Dear Susan and Billy,
The best memory I have of your father was at my Aunt Char's wedding. He was leading the bridal march and was truly the life of the party. I will always remember him smiling and loving life. May you take comfort in knowing that you will meet him again soon..
Love and prayers,
Lisa Scaffide and Nick too

It's with great sadness that we heard of Tony's passing. I have shared so many stories with Tony over the past five years in the chair at Joe's shop - travels to Vegas and Florida, the family he was so proud of, and the tall tales of great winnings. He tried retirement once, but it was too idle for him. Tony so enjoyed cutting hair, talking to people, providing advice when appropriate, and then heading out to dance or dinner at his daughter's (and of course, he'd bring his "tools"). He knew...

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Tony has been my barber and my friend for the past 10 years and I was surprised today to hear the news when I called to make sure he was working. I can't tell you how sad this news makes me, as Tony was definately one of the nicest, friendliest people that I have known. My condolences go out to his family and friends.

Since I can always remember, I have always gotten my hair cut at Joe Sgro's Barber Shop on Warrensville Ctr. Road in Shaker Heights. My first time was on the famed "horse" of many children's youth with Tony's good friend, Nick. Nick passed away when I was little, and I had trouble at the time comprehending why I couldn't have Nick cut my hair anymore. Tony explained to me that God sometimes takes people up to him because he misses them. On the way home from grammar schoo at Saint Dominic's on...

Bill and family,

We pray for your father and that you and your family will go on and live life to its fullest in his memory.
