MARCELLO, ANTHONY C., Sr., 88, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on March 12, 2014. He was a long time resident of Cranston, RI, Jamestown, RI and Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He was the devoted husband of 66 years to the love of his life, the late Beatrice (Calderone) Marcello. Born in Providence, RI he was the son of the late M. Thomas and Anna (Indiglia) Marcello. Anthony served in the United States Navy before becoming co-owner of Marcello's Wholesale Beef and Provisions. He enjoyed gardening, boating and was an avid golfer belonging to Alpine Country Club, Wanumetonomy Country Club and Eastpointe Country Club. His greatest joy was found in his family. He leaves behind three children, daughter Marcia Rogers, her husband Paul, son Claude Marcello wife, Linda, and daughter Jayne Tasca, husband Bob Tasca. He also leaves behind eight loving grandchildren and eleven loving great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, March 18th at 10am at St Mark's Church, 60 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown, RI. Burial with Military Honors will take place at St Mark Cemetery, Jamestown. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
