Not sure what to say?

Rest in peace, old friend. You were the delight of 1006 W. Nevada, and offered a lighthearted view of life to us bewildered freshmen!

As a high school counselor at TPHS in the early 1970's, Tony Moriarty helped me through a long, difficult, and sad crisis. Nearly fifty years have passed, yet I have never forgotten, and have always been grateful for how he helped me through that crisis while also giving me the tools to go forward and create a rewarding future. Dear Tony, thank you so much. My deepest condolences to Allende and family.

Tony told me once that, under hypnosis, he had a past life experience. He seemed to be in Ireland, he said, and he was an old man sitting a chair smoking a pipe, and all around him people were have animated conversations. And then he died— quietly! But no one noticed! Very Joycean. But of course people noticed when Tony passed away. Who couldn't, those who knew and loved him?

I miss you sir.

Mr. Moriarty was my counselor at Tinley Park H.S. In the 70s ! I came from a very troubled fAmily and I credit him with Saving my life - he SO believed in me - I remember what he told me as I was crying about being caught in the middle between my parents and my sister - he said Diane , you are able to see both sides of a situation and that will help you the rest of your life - and it has ! What a great man , may he Rest In Peace

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we have postponed Tonys celebration at the Katherine Legge Memorial Center in Hinsdale. He would not have wanted anyone to be at risk traveling or gathering on his account. We will look forward to celebrating his memory when it is safe to gather, and will publish an as yet to be determined date on Facebook.

Graduated 1988, he was so good to all of us. Condolences to his family and friends.

He was a great guidance counselor at Rich East. I will remember him fondly. My deepest condolences to the Moriarty family .

Thank you Dr. Moriarty! I only wished i had known you lived in the south. I would have made the drive personally to say thank you! I graduated in 85 but not without your guidance and support all through my high school years. You have and will be missed!
