Not sure what to say?

When I was in the Air Force, I did one of the most important things I've ever done. I declared myself a conscientious objector and embarked on a year long journey to seperate myself from the military. Tony was one of the few who recognized or cared about the incredible pressure I was under and without his kindness and generosity I would have been even more of a mess than I was. He helped me in so many ways. He invited me to spend Christmas with him and his family in Brockton, a very...

Tony and I roomed together at Seymour Johnson AFB in 1971-72. He put up with my sloppy housekeeping. I remember cleaning the room and sitting down to read, very satisfied with myself. Tony would come in and clean the room all over again! One did not cross Tony. He retaliated immediately and severely. We all learned. He was a good chess player and Phantom F4 fire control tech. Tony left for Viet Nam. Later I left for Thailand amd and we met there for a couple of days of celebrating. ...

Dear Pat, Ken and Tony's family,
I was stunned when Ken gave me the news about Tony. I will always remember him as a kind, generous, gentle man and gentleman. He leaves a legacy that his family can be extremely proud of. A great son, husband, father, brother, broth-in-law, uncle and veteran. Please know that I too share in your loss. Tony suffers no longer, but left us far too early. May his memory be a blessing, and all of us who knew him be blessed with the fact that he touched our lives...

He graced us with a welcoming smile, wonderful wit, and vast knowledge of a myriad of subjects. His commitment to his family was always very strong as was his willigness to help others. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I pray that your fond memories of Tony and the adoration of...

Margaret, Patty and Pegi, In hearing about Tony's passing today, my heart is so sad!! There wasn't a kinder, nicer and more loving person than Tony!! I am sorry I did not know of his illness! I'm sure, as in all things Tony did in his life, he handled this with grace as well. I am glad to have shared many happy memories (and a few meatballs) with him and your loving, close family!! God Bless you all at this time of deep sadness. Tony will be in my heart always. Susan (Paul) O'Connor

To Tony's Family:
I will miss sparring with my conservative political friend from his liberal friend. He was a great conversationalist and a terrific contractor and problem solver. I will miss him.
