I was Dean of the American Guild of Organists when Tony was organist at St. Mary's in Westfield. He was a valuable member of the Guild and often attended our events. I remember him with a smile.

Tony was kind, patient, and funny. He always brightened all of our, teachers and students, days at WBMS. Rest well, friend.

Mr. Piaggi was a gift of a music teacher. He cared that his students learned and that learning was something they could enjoy. Every kid at White Brook loved music class and "Mr. P" in a way that will be rare for teachers to match. All of us fortunate enough to have been taught by him know that he will be missed.

Mr Piaggi was the best teacher and choir director. I am glad that I was able to have him as a teacher. He is now part of the eternal choir.

Tony was my best friend in college. He helped open up the world for me. He was intellectual and such a great role model. I am very sorry to hear of his death, and I shall pray for the happy repose of his soul.
