!The world has lost one of it's finest human beings.Tony was a special person to many people whose lives he touched.Intelligence, kindness, tolerance, wit, humor, and understanding were not strangers to his hearth.Hence the success he had in bringing out the greatest potential in each of his teachers for he had a love of people, and understood their strengths, and weaknesses. Our lives indeed have been diminished by the loss of Tony.Wanda Rapp

I had the pleasure of being under Dr. Polomene's wing when I was a student in IS34. ..he was a fantastic principal. Although I never really ever spoke to him, as far as being disciplined, I know that he was a peoples person. Very soft spoken and fair. He was a very kind and gentle man. I am very saddened by his departure and my blessings and prayers are with all of you.

To The Family,

It was my honor to have served with Anthony not only as a colleague principal; but, as a principal under his direction when he served as an Assistant Superintendent, District 31.

He was a rara avis in our profession and a cynosure of a master teacher and master supervisor. He was an example to all of us as a dedicated educator whose only desire was to serve the community and the children.

We were all enriched in knowing him, serving with him and...

To Dr. Polomene's family,

After reading his obituary I just wanted to share with you a few memories. I never knew he was an bassist. However one of my finest memories of him was when he brought an electric string bass to school for me to play in the Jazz Band. I remember him showing it to me and helping, but never realized he could actually play it. The song he...

I had the good fortune to work with Dr. Polemene for many years in
The Superintendent's Office of the Board of Education. I will remember him as a man of integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
My condolence to the family.
