Anthony Marcel Price, loving son, cherished grandson, exemplary father, and loyal friend. His light came into our lives on November 22, 1970. God chose Macon, Georgia as his point of entry into this world and our hearts. God needed a special angel and called him back to heaven on January 10, 2018. For 47 years, the lives of many were enriched by his presence…his warm smile, heartfelt laugh, and words of wisdom.
Our beloved Anthony was cherished by his mother, Alzenia Price and father, Daniel Price. He was the self-proclaimed number one grandson of Dr. Amy Reyonlds, a banner he wore proudly and made sure she and everyone else knew it. He also was the grandson of the late Mrs. Ella Finch from whom he learned his culinary skills. We thank God for entrusting him to us.
The value of education was instilled into Anthony thus he graduated with honors from Ben L. Smith High School in 1989. With grit and steadfast determination, Anthony graduated with honors from North Carolina A & T State University earning a B.S. degree in Biology in 2014. Anthony loved animals and enjoyed his daily encounters with his two and four legged friends he met while working at Burlington Road Animal Hospital. He never met a stranger and endeared himself to those he met. Anthony easily connected with others and found a way to add individuals to his loving circle of friends, a trait which was a cornerstone of Anthony Marcel Price.
He lived by the mantra "Live, Love, and Laugh." He lived his life to the fullest. It was about family first. Anthony loved God, his fellowman, his family and his friends. Easily spreading happiness to all by sharing his infectious laugh often. He was passionate about his "Boy" Brandis Marcel Price whom he lovingly called "THE ONE." He has always been very proud to be the father of such an outstanding son and shared his excitement and love for him with everyone. They shared a remarkable bond. Brandis will lovingly share that his father is his best friend. Loving his family was easy for Anthony and he opened up his arms to his young cousins, who looked up to "Cuzzo" more as a father figure. He loved and supported them, too.
Anthony enjoyed traveling, was an extraordinary chef, and a committed die hard Dallas Cowboy fan.
The call on Anthony's life was to be impactful. His legacy will live on as he touched our life's as a loving, caring, sweet, jovial, loyal, kind, brother, homie, #1 dude, wise son, grandson, father, and friend. He leaves to cherish his memories mother, Alzenia Price; father, Daniel Price; son, Brandis Price; grandmother, Dr. Amy Reynolds; grandfather, Warren Reynolds; uncle, Dr. Eugene Upshaw, Jr.; aunts, Crystal Zellous and Melonie Hunt; cousins, Gena and Kayla Upshaw, Christopher Hunt, Jon, Christofer and Kirk "KJ" Zellous; special friend, Angelia Sims; and a host of other relatives and friends.
