Not sure what to say?

Dear Marlene,
I just ran across your Dad's death notice and it is late Friday night. Sorry I could not be at tahe funeral home. You and your family can be assured of my prayers. I'll be in touch with you soon.

Love,
Patty Joyce

Uncle Tonch was more like a grandpa to me. My grandpa passed away way before I was a thought in my mom's head. Uncle Tonch use to give all of us candy licorice and how I use to pray he had the red kind because I hated the black kind, but it was always black. :) I use to love going up to see him because he always gave me the biggest hugs. He always told me all these great stories, and most of the time he was pulling my leg. He was the best subsitute grandpa, and he will be greatly missed....

.Uncle Tonch was always an uncle in my heart.Growing up in the Shaffer family just extended my family. It wasn't until I was older that I realized I was from the other side of the family. At one of the family reunions David asked how I was related to Uncle Tonch and before I could answer Uncle Tonch said"I'm her uncle that's how"That was all that needed to be said because we all know how he was and when he spoke you didn't question it.Our love and prayers go out to you all.Love Dave and Beth

Uncle Tonch was my God Father. We had a very special relationship. I am very happy I got to see him Sunday. We were able to talk, laugh, and say our good byes. He will be missed more than words can say. I am happy he no longer suffers, and can talk to my dad and mom, and his sisters...Marlene and Barbara, I am sorry but I can not make it home... Juan has the flu. I do not think it would be safe to make the long trip. I know he will understand.. i love you all.. thanks for sharing your dad so...

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We all have such wonderful memories of Uncle Tonch, but mostly I rember him playing Santa to us and how we were all in aw. The family reunion's won't be the same, now our line will be the elders.
Love to all,
Connie & Chuck

Dear Family; I have many memories of your Dad. He became a father figure to me the day my Dad passed away, He picked the role up alot he took me to doctor visits, taught me how to drive and told me alot of stories. As you know he was a man that had his own way but I am glad that he was there for me at my time of need,I will miss him!! I love you all
