Anthony "Tony" Frank Coffaro

Anthony “Tony” F. Coffaro, son of Frank and Audrey Coffaro, number seven of twelve children, entered our world with a bang on March 7th, 1957 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Larger than life since the day he was born, Tony spent 44 years creating a unique and beautiful world with the love of his life, wife Amy.  A family man through and through, Tony and Amy welcomed three of their own daughters, Amelia, Stephanie, and Anna, but were also “mom and dad” to anyone crossing the threshold of their home.  Tony, a true family patriarch, was everyone’s Dad, and proud of it.  His life motto was “It’s ALL about FAMILY”, and he embodied that message in everything he did.

Tony dedicated his life to hard work and service to others.  He was a visionary leader, the most generous person you could ever hope to meet.  If anyone was ever in need of anything at all, all they had to do was “Just ask for Tony”.  He would never let you down, even at his own expense.

Tony was so many things to so many people: a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and provider; a supportive and encouraging coach; a clever, fair, and enterprising entrepreneur; a very proud Sicilian “Godfather”; Mr. Christmas; the first one to volunteer for any person or cause that needed help; a grill-master and professional “Happy Birthday” singer; the best damn golfer; the very definition of what it means to be a friend.

He was one of a kind in every sense of the phrase.  Colorful and vibrant! An embellished storyteller, brimming with humor, pranks and laughs.  He LOVED music, often speaking in song (and would give you $20 if you could tell him who the original artist was).   He lived to have FUN, to party and celebrate any and every occasion, and sometimes for no reason at all.  His favorite thing was being together, creating magical experiences and moments for everyone that entered his orbit.  More than anything, he loved making memories, giving us all a lifetime of stories to share.

After a full and abundant time on earth lived exclusively on his own terms, Tony graduated into his next phase of life on February 24th, 2023, surrounded by loved ones at home in his favorite place.

Over the top and with a heart of gold, his spirit and energy was so big he could never be contained.  Now, he is everywhere, with us always in all ways.

Guests can arrive to the gymnasium at St. Robert School located at: 2200 E. Capitol Dr., Shorewood, WI 53211 starting at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 11, 2023. Family will great friends from 2:30 – 3:30 PM. The Celebration of Life will begin at 3:30 PM followed by a reception till 8:00 PM. Please wear something pink!
