Read MoreI met Tony at the sunrise cafe a few years ago. We bonded instantly with similar backgrounds; I too a Spanish teacher and of basque decent. For a number of years we occasionally ran into each other and shared quite a few meals at the Sunrise Cafe (in Meridian) surrounded by my kids. What a genuine and wonderful man. I will always remember my dear friend Villanueva. ¡Qué en paz descanses mi amigo!

Have many great memories in growing up and spending many hours with tony developing a true love for sports. Reading his obituary made me reflect back in time and seeing the same love he shared with all the students he taught or coached. He had a great impact on my life and I am really blessed to have known him.
