Anthony Cephus Wright CHARLESTON - Anthony Cephus Wright, affectionately known to family and friends as Tony and Mutt, but to many others as "Tony The Peanut Man" entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at his residence. His son, Ramon Watson and brothers, John Lee and William Tyrone Faison also preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory, son, Antwone (Shariese) Watson; Brothers, William (Christena) Lee, Donny Rouse, Ronny Rouse, Lewis Kevin Freeman; Sisters, Rosalyn Jones, Patricia Rouse, Cheryl (Paul) Carlton, Jackie (Ozane) Jackson, Phyllis Faison Pinckney, Gloria Faison (Carol) Goodwine, Dr. Marian Lynn Greene Thompson, Diane Frost Hill.; sister-in-law, Shirley Lee; Uncle, Bratton Wright; Aunts, Beatrice Smith and Edna Bobo; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives, dedicated Peanut Tyme LLC workers. The home going service honoring his life will take place on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, 11:00 AM at Royal Missionary Baptist Church 4761 Luella Ave, North Charleston, SC. Mr. Wright will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Gardens, N. Charleston, SC. The visitation for Mr. Wright will take place this evening from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the church. From Canada we visit our Son and Daughter in law to see our grandchildren every chance we get. Sometimes we take our grandchildren from here with us .The Riverdog games are a must! I was taken aback to learn of Tony's passing. Tony and I were classmates at Wallace School and he was always the same--funny, down to earth, lighthearted, kindhearted, loving spirit. Tony was an icon back in the day and that did not change over the years. I'm glad to say I knew him personally. My kids & I will miss Tony at the Riverdogs games and at the Wando home football games. We loved seeing his smile and hearing his famous peanut song. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
