SEYMOUR: Anthony J. Zalenski Jr., (Tony), age 80, entered eternal rest on November 10, 2023, at Griffin Hospital in Derby, with his loving daughter by his side.


     Tony was born in Derby on November 30, 1942, son of the late Anthony J. and Sophie Bartusewicz Zalenski. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, Tony was employed at BIC Corporation in Milford, CT and was the co-owner of the former White Eagle Market, Zalenski Brother’s family business in Derby. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Ansonia.


     Tony leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Carolyn Zalenski of Seymour, and Sharon Zalenski (Tom Geer) of Ansonia, his brother, Theodore A. Zalenski (Mary) of Tennessee, former wife, Patricia Fainer of Milford, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by sisters, Lorraine Krueger, and Barbara Zalenski, and a nephew, John Krueger.


     Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Sunday, November 19, 2023, from 2:00-4:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Monday morning, his funeral will begin at 9:15 am from the funeral home, then proceed to St. Joseph Church in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.
