Antone Mello

Antone Mello, 78, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II who attained the rank of Seaman First Class and was awarded the World War II victory medal, the American Theater medal, and the Asiatic Pacific Theater medal with two stars, a Carpenter with Pacheco’s Hardware until his retirement in 1977, passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital on Wednesday, May 24, 2000, following a brief illness. Funeral services and interment were private. Arrangements entrusted to Aubertine-Lopes Funeral Home, New Bedford.
