Antonio Eraldo Davi, 88, of Gordonsville, died on Friday, March 2, 2012, at his residence.
He was born on February 10, 1924, in Khartown, Sudan Africa, a son of the late, Gaetano Davi and Maria Nasce Davi.
Mr. Davi was a member of St. Isidore The Farmer Catholic Church in Orange and The Knights of Columbus. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and he enjoyed playing golf and tennis. He is survived by his wife, Lucy Davi of Gordonsville; one daughter, Maria Davi Schettino and husband, Frank, of Gordonsville; one son, Leonard A. Davi and wife, Alissa, of Longwood, Florida; one brother, Joseph Davi and wife, Marisca, of Deerpark, New York; five sisters, Lucia DelAerea, Cristina Giudici, Tosca Vellucci, Ida Davi, Clara DiGiamo, Anna Maria Gobbo, all of Italy; five grandchildren, Cristina Davi, Danielle Davi, Nicole Davi, Alexa Davi, Joseph Davi; and a host of other relatives and friends. A Mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2012, at St. Isidore The Farmer Catholic Church in Orange with interment to follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Gordonsville. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2012, at the Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville.
