ANTONIO TAVARES FILHO FEB 3, 1939 - JUNE 17, 2009 Age 70 passed away at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, he was born in Rio de Janerio, Brasil. He was an Electronic technician for 10 years and a member of Casa do Benfica of San Jose and Shrine Our Lady of Miracles, 370 Linden Ave, Gustine. He enjoyed playing dominos, watching soccer, and listening to music. Survivors; Wife Maria J. Lima of Gustine, 4 Sons Carlos L. Tavares and his wife Dacia of San Jose, Antonio Augusto Tavares and his wife Pamela of Gustine, Antonio Henrique Tavares of Hayward and George Tavares and his wife Nilda of San Jose, Daughter Elza Bettencourt and her husband Victor of San Jose, 5 Grandchildren Michael, Andrew, Amanda, Ethan and Hailey Tavares. Preceded in death by his parents Father Anonio Correira Tavares in 1976 and Mother Maria Jesus da Ponte in 1985. Visitation 2PM-8PM, Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Service, 286 W. Main St, Turlock, Rosary/Mass combined, 10AM, Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Shrine Our Lady of Miracles, 370 Linden Ave, Gustine. Burial will be at Patterson District Cemetery.
