Not sure what to say?

I was so sad to read of the death of Tony Fontana. He was truly a friend to so many of the 70-80s Hialeah democrats. I no longer live in Fla., still active in DEM politics (Iowa), and still remember fondly those formative leaders like Tony, John Hill, Bob Graham, Bob Reynolds, and Bill Lehman. They made us proud. He will be missed.

It was such a privaledge to meet Tony. I owe him so much. He lived his life in service to others and leaves a legacy few could ever match.

You were a blessing to so many people and this earth is a sadder place without your presence. It was a privilege to know you and call you friend. I will miss your smiling face and the love you gave to me and my family. When you get to those pearly gates, remember, "don't tell em nutten", they'll know you and welcome you home with love.

Dear Tony, my prayers and sincere condolences to you and your family, I will miss you. Always,

Dearest Uncle Tony,
You were a blessing to so many...when we spoke a couple of weeks ago, we talked about the Fontana celebration that awaits you and how your brother Charlie (my father) would be there to pick you up on his motorcycle. WELCOME HOME, ENJOY THE RIDE! Until we meet again...Love & Light,
Your Niece Lisa, Rocco (Rock), Adrionna & Natalia

My family has known Tony for 30 years or more. He was a great friend to my family and would light up a room when he walked into it. We will miss him

I was very sad to hear the news of Tony's passing. He was a great police officer, legislator, parole commissioner and most of all a great man! Tony touched many hearts and is going to be missed.

I'm so glad I was able to visit with Tony while in Tallahassee during the Christmas holiday, but extremely sad I wasn't able to return to visit with him again before his passing. I had the distinct opportunity and pleasure to have met and worked with Tony after graduation from the police academy while he was working in the Homicide Squad. He was truly a special person who gave so much of himself for the benefit of law enforcement officers everywhere. My condolences to all of his family and...

God looked around his garden and found an empty place, He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest- God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb, so he closed your weary eyelids and whispered "Peace be Thine".
It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone. For part of us went with you the day God called you home.
