Not sure what to say?

Sending love to Vonnie and David. May your memories comfort both of you. I remember Antonio describing a bus crash he survived. Peace be with you.

Vonnie and David, I have fond memories of Antonio, from the first time I started working at GVSU in 1995 to having him for classes in my masters program. He was always the consumate gentleman with a sparkle in his eye and a vibrant personality. I am so glad to have known him! May the memories you have comfort you at this time of loss. May his memory be enternal!

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Wishing you comfort and peace to face the days ahead and loving memories to hold in your heart. We always enjoyed seeing Antonio because of his handsome smile and his a positive light when we crossed our paths.

Hi Vonnie...Barb and I are saddened to learn of Tony's passing. He was always so vibrant, fun and full of the dickens. Although geography has separated us for several years, the memories of good times together with the two of you easily come to mind. We feel blessed as the result of those opportunities. Please accept our most sincere sympathy for you and David as you move through this difficult time. May God be your strength and encourager! Our love and prayer, Paul and Barb Claesson

Hi Vonn

I can´t even begin to tell you, it is October 17 and out of the blue Antonio and you, Vonnie we´re on my mind and I couldn´t stop thinking about you. I looked in Facebook. I couldn´t find either of you so I just googled Antonio Herrera and there it was. He passed October 4 and the funeral is tomorrow. I haven´t seen either of you in many many years, but you will both always always have a place in my heart. Vonnie I´m so sorry for your loss. I was there at the beginning of your...

My deepest sympathies to Vonnie and David. I´m very sad to hear about Antonio´s passing. When he was hired, I was a student majoring in Spanish at Grand Valley. I found him to be challenging and engaging as a professor. He was always caring and willing to join his students for a party or over coffee. He will be missed by all who knew him. His memory and legacy will live in all our hearts and minds.

Vonnie, I am so sorry for your loss. Many years ago I worked at GVSU (in Math & Stats) and got to know Antonio. One day during a conversation, he discovered our daughter Nicole (9 years old then) loved horses. Being the gentleman he was, he asked if she would like to see the Paso Fino horses. Well, not only did she get to see them, but he got us to ride them! I will never forget the look on Nikki's face! Antonio was a very kind, compassionate and generous man, who made such a difference in...
