Antonio "Tony" Orendain

I was a senior staff assistant to Governor Clements when Tony announced the Teaxs Famworkers Union were nmarching to Austin to meet with the Fovernor. All of the senior staff advised the Governor to leave. When he asked meI simply said they had a constitutional right to petition their government. The Governor met with Tony.I staffed the meeting. I had the utmost respect and fondness for Tony. I just learned this day of his passing.May he rest in peace.
