Not sure what to say?

When Miss Daniel retired from teaching, the school the system lost an awesome gem. She gave her life to preparing each new class for the future. She was my sixth grade teacher at Hemingway Elementary in 1955. I will always hold her in my heart as she will always be remembered.
GOD speed, Miss Daniel and thank you for the wonderful memories.

My sincere condolences to Ms. Annie Daniel for the loss of her beloved sister Appie.
What a long and wonderful life she must have enjoyed. She will be an inspiration for me and for many others.
Even though i did not have Ms. Appie for a teacher I did have Ms. Annie in the fourth grade at Chestnut Street School.
When all of our classes combined in the seventh grade we had several students come from Forest Hills School, and I believe the rest went to Roland Grise. One of the best...

When our family moved to Wilmington in the summer of 1962, I was entering the 6th grade at Forrest Hills Elementary School. I was fortunate to have been placed in Miss Appie Daniel's class! She was strict, but was also very gentle and kind! She became one of my favorite teachers! What a wonderful role model she was for not only her students and also her peers! When I became a teacher in 1973, I often thought about her, and was always striving to, one day, be the kind of teacher she was! Rest...

My husband Larry and I were both fortunate to be taught by Miss Daniel at Hemingway School in the '50's.
She was a remarkable gifted teacher, strict but kind. When my husband had an occasion to see her, he would always tell her that if she had been his teacher all through school ,he would have been an exemplary student. We both have such fond memories of her.I can still see her marching us to chapel with her pocketbook on her arm.
Rest in peace Miss Daniel. We love you.

Ms. Daniel was my 6th-grade teacher at Hemingway. She was firm, but everybody liked her. She never played favorites. I am out of town now, but if I was there, I certainly would be showing my respects

Ms. Daniel's taught me in the 6th grade @ Hemenway school. She was a good teacher, but no nonsence in her class. Need more like her today. This was circa1947.

I had the honor and pleasure of having Miss Daniel teach me in the sixth grade at Hemenway Grammar School in 1960. She was a remarkable teacher that we all loved and respected. Her class presented the annual Christmas Play in our school, and all of sixth graders were excited to be in the play, and what a production she made it! She was always kind, firm and a wonderful teacher! I'm hoping a lot of her students saw her coming to Heaven's gates and ran to welcome her! Love you, Miss Daniel!

I am just one of hundreds of Miss Daniels former students and I feel very fortunate to have had her for my teacher. Miss Daniel was a very gifted teacher and she never gave up on anyone. I enjoyed watching her play golf with her favorite companion and sister Annie every time they had the opportunity to play, and they certainly made quick work of it! Rest in Peace Miss Annie and thank you for sharing your gift with so many of us!
