I remember a time when Don visited DC and us - what was unusual was that April accompanied him on this business trip. After dinner one evening, April sat next to Don on the couch and if he made a claim that April thought was outlandish or not true, she'd make a face that told us her thoughts on the matter. She was light-hearted and funny. That's when I felt I'd gotten to know April much better.

April was so welcoming when I joined TCASE and GCASE as a new administrator/ specialist. Her enthusiasm was contagious and her laughter was something I will never forget. I got to see her at TCASE after she retired and she was SO enthusiastic about her new role. She will be deeply missed.
