Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home - Harlingen Obituary

Araceli Mari Cano, age 35, passed away on May 18, 2022. She is survived by her two daughters, who made up the entirety of her world, Kalia Chanel Cano (age 14) and Kehlani Riley Gonzales (age 2). Besides her children, Araceli is survived by her parents, Oscar Sr. and Aida Cano, her brothers, Oscar II (Wendy) and Raul (Yvette) Cano. She was loved by several uncles, aunts, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Although Araceli's dream of becoming a nurse was cut short, she did begin the pathway to her dream by becoming a certified nurse aide. She longed to care for those not capable of caring for themselves.

Araceli enjoyed the outdoors and had discovered the importance of health and exercise and loved going to the gym.

Visitation will be held at Trinity Funeral Home in Harlingen on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 1-7pm with a rosary to follow. A special memorial will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 4-6pm at Trinity Funeral Home.

Araceli wishes to spend eternity among the seas, so her ashes will be spread at South Padre Island at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home, 1002 East Harrison Ave. Harlingen, TX 78550. www.trinityfunerals.com.
