Not sure what to say?

Mr. Allen was my high school principal and my friend. He always had an encouring word that came from his heart.I thank God for allowing me the pleasure of knowing Mr. Allen. My prayers are with the family.

I am very sorry Mary Elizabeth for your loss. It seems the longer we live, the less family we have to surrond us. Your father was a great man and an inspiration to all who knew him. I hope life has been good to you and your future bright. Larry J. Ellis Central High, Class of 1967

DHS'70-'73,where lingered 60's notions, anti "the man." But Mr. Allen was indeed the man, far more than most of us could ever be, a Marine figher pilot in WWII,no less. Never mentioned it. Too funny. A great man. My friend I will always remember.

Mr. Allen was a fine man and a good principal. He was steadfast in his beliefs.

We send our sincere condolences to you at this time of grief. We are so sorry that you have lost his companionship, yet you will always have his love in your hearts and many wonderful memories. He was a great Statesman. We will miss him and keep you all in our prayers for God's comfort and solace.

A true professional and gentlemen. My life is better for having known Mr. Allen as a friend and community servant. I will always remember his wisdom and contribution to our community's children, now adults.

Mr.Allen was a superb example of what a high school principal should be. He always had my respect and trust. DHS 1971

The Angels in Heaven have welcomed home one of their own. Truely a great man.
