Not sure what to say?

There is nothing any one can say to take away the pain of lossing a loved one. So I won't try. I didn't know Archie Davis, but my father did. They grew up together in Hickory. From putting snakes in the candy dish to throwing tomatoes over the house hitting cars, we heard many a story about the fun times they had together. My dad told us Archie was like a brother he never had growing up. He regrets they didn't stay in touch. My family and I are so very sorry for your loss. Charles...

I dreamed of you last night,
Only to wake and find you've gone.
You were very happy in that dream,
Your wit, pure "Archie"
Your body strong.

I think I'll take that as a sign to say that,
God is pleased to have you there.
I can't imagine that he would not be!
I mean, you've got so much to share.

You will be missed here, Dr. Davis
Of that, I'm sure there is no doubt.
But,what a Blessing you have been to us.
That's really...

TO DR. ARCHIE DAVIS FAMILY,
MY SYMPATHY IS WITH YOU NOW. HE WAS MY DR.FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS. I WILL MISS HIM GREATLY..HE WAS A GREAT DOCTOR.

Dr. and Mrs. Davis, Archie's parents, and their children were one of the first families we met when we moved from West Covina, CA to Hickory, NC in 1960. Archie was so nice to us, kids raised in California who didn't have a clue about things Southern. He was so tall and handsome my sister and I thought. My thoughts and prayers go to Archie's wife Donna, daughter Ginger, his parents John and Lucy, his brothers and sisters, John, Roger, Nancy, Jimmy and Katie, and families. Archie was a...

Donna, I was sorry to read of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. From your old nursing school and Lee High classmate, Betty Ann[Thornbury]

Archie Davis MD will be missed by many. He had a way of relating to everyone, no matter where they came from in life. He knew the right words to say or the right joke to tell. He could make each person feel the words he spoke were just for them. I worked with Dr Davis for a couple of years when he was at USA. After Dr Davis completed his residency and began group practice, a cardiologist was needed for my Mother. There was no doubt, he was my first choice.
I will always smile when I...

My deepest sympathy to all the Davis family. Dr. Archie Davis will be greatly miss by so many.
My father James Grace (Jim) and Dr.Davis enjoyed rounds of gun shooting at the Mobile Shooting Range. Now whenever I hear an adundance of thunder I like to think Dad and Doc are catching up on the gun shooting;and old times.
Dr. Davis was also my step-mother Ethyl Grace heart Doctor.
Doc was so sweet and kind to me when my Dad died, then we both shed a few goodbye tears to his...

Dear Mrs. Davis, Daughter, and the entire Davis family,

My name is Ed Lynd. My wife and I were patients of Dr. Davis. After my suffering with an irregular heart beat for more than 30 years, and being diagnosed by several doctors (throughout the Southeast, Southwest, and Northeast) Doctor Davis discovered my problem... a slight Thyroid output deficiency. Miraculous.. a tiny Synthroid tablet cured the problem!

I am aware that he was raised in Selma. While he was performing...
