Mr. Payne along with Ms Payne would help keep my sister and cousins out of trouble in my old East Chicago neighborhood. Great memory of him teaching me and my cousin on how to fillet a fish, my condolences goes out to the Payne Family.

To the Payne family, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your dad and my coach Archie. He was always smiling and a very patient man. I used to see him walking down Butternut St and he would always wave or stop to talk a bit. He was a good man and will be missed.

I am so sad that Unc is gone - but I know he's more comfortable now, probably fishing right now as we speak :) !! I have a lot of memories that I will smile at whenever I think of those memories! I know family was his pride and joy - and I am thankful to be a part of that. He will be missed. Love, Stacey
