Archie F. Pierson of Aliquippa, PA, beloved husband of the late Margarette Pierson, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2022 at the age of 90 years.
Archie was born August 8, 1931 in Leesburg, Virginia to Florence Thomas and Archie Pierson Sr. He lived most of his early life in the D.C/Maryland/Virginia area. He was proud of his Native American heritage as mother was of the Potawatomi Tribe. He graduated from Cardozo High School in Washington, DC. Archie held a variety of professions, from construction in his early days, truck driving, serving as a pastor, selling his personal cleaning solution at flea markets, to finally retiring after 30 years with Budget Truck Rental.
Archie is survived by his daughter and four sons: Sherry (Delbert) Howze of Aliquippa; Donald “Pete” (Lorraine) Pearson, of New Brighton, Archie (Pamela) Smith of Atlanta, GA; Dwight Sims of Cincinnati; John “JJ” (Della) Hollins of Monroeville, PA; his best friend and brother-in-law, Joe Freeman, Sr (Aliquippa); sixteen grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and their families.
Besides his loving wife, Archie was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Eudella Ursaline Jones and Mary Elizabeth Pierson; daughters Lorrie Pearson and May Carter.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 11 am and 12 pm on Tuesday May 3, 2022, at Pitts Funeral Home,920 Franklin Ave, Aliquippa, PA. Funeral service begins at 12pm. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery

I worked with Archie for 21 years at Budget. I will miss my friend. Rest in peace Archie.
