Not sure what to say?

I´m so sorry for your loss Patti and family. What an incredible legacy he is leaving behind in music, family, and his community. Sending love and light your way during this difficult time.

We visited Archie and his family a number of times when passing through the area. He, Gracie and Marlene were wonderful hosts. As a double first cousin Archie was always special to me. Prayers of comfort for all who love him.

Patti & Greg...Andrew & I send our prayers & condolences at this very difficult time. I recall when Daddy died (at 101 1/2), I felt that my heart was so crushed that I would not be able to forge on...that feeling left me eventually & I picked myself up with a lifetime of memories & fatherly advice & a special love that only comes from above. After reading his beautifully written obituary, I am positive that your father's lasting wish was that his contributions to our world through music would...

Heavy condolences to the family if Dr Archie While as a SCHS alum I was never in his band. He and I ran occasionally together on the old asphalt track at SCHS. He and my wife Leigh coordinated half time shows and often communicated by phone about scores of music up coming festivals and of course judging. With a heavy heart God bless Bill Brock Athens Georgia

It was a privilege of a lifetime to sit under Dr. Sharretts leadership. I first met him in 5th grade band and followed him throughout high school. My father died when I was 8 years old and I found a father figure in Archie that filled a void that has moved me forward both in music and my career. We will all miss him and our prayers are with the family during this time.

I took band under Dr. Sharretts from Jr. High to my 12th grade and I can honestly say that he was the best teacher, conductor, and mentor that there ever has been!! Every band competition I was in we always brought home superiors and I was always so proud to be in the band he conducted because all of our competitors knew we were directed by the best!!! I can still see him look over his glasses at me when I hit a wrong note. I am in prayer for his family.

Dr. Archie Sharretts was a great teacher, conductor, musician, and friend. God bless Archie, his family, and friends.

I taught chorus next door to Archie for seven years. I learned so much just watching him teach. He was a wonderful teacher and a great friend. Eva Jameson
