         Mr. Archie L. Stevenson born in Mobile, Al. to the late Mr. Charles and Mrs. Clara H. Stevenson, passed away on Sunday Dec. 13, 2020 in Heidelberg, Germany where he made his home.


           Archie is preceded in death by his sisters, Linda F. Stevenson and Patricia A. Stevenson of Atlanta, Ga. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Ulla, devoted daughter, Iris P. Stevenson, Portland, Ore., devoted stepson Josef (Deniz), devoted sister Gloria (Ralph) Gordon, nephew, Corey D. Stevenson, great-niece Britelin Stevenson, Rome, Ga., cousins and many friends.


         Archie was a member of Dunbar Jr. High and Central High School Bands before joining Grambling College Marching Tiger Band in Grambling, La. He continued in the U.S. Army Band in Germany and Panama until he retired after 20 years of service. He also formed his own band, After the Storm. Throughout his life, Archie “Stretch” Stevenson brought the joy of music to many.


         His service and interment will be held in Heidelberg, Germany.
