I met her 46 years ago, and our association was brief but profoundly impactful. I was a barely grown girl in the hospital, Ardie was in the bed next to me. I'd never even been in the hospital before, and she managed to help me emotionally and in ways beyond just kind words, and teaching me how to navigate an unmanageable situation. I always wished I could have reached out to her and tell her Thank you, Ardie. Thank you, and things turned out okay for me. Wishing her family love and healing.
