There were five of us girls at the University of Puerto Rico with enough cojones to rock the stutus quo. At the time, it was a man's world. Girls stayed on the sidelines hoping to get a bit of the light that shined through our companions. Miriam was and is a star shining bright. Her deep set bright eyes were both mischievious and wise.
