Not sure what to say?

I can't thank Bob enough for giving me the chance of my 1st job in the US at Aries London Grill. He was very patient (we all had to be!) in waiting for my Visa to be able to start, but after that at the restaurant and Plainwell Library I was able to spend 13 wonderful years in Michigan. I wish I was still able to live and work there, but I visit regularly & have dozens of wonderful friends. His culinary knowledge & skills were outstanding. Wherever you are Bob, I say a big thanks & give my...

Bob and I started our friendship in Cub Scouts and later Boy Scouts. We had a lot of fun as kids, and I fondly remember his dad, Arie, taking the troop over when someone else had to leave.
After high school I lost track of Bob until I bumped into him in Traverse City at a "cook off". He was his usual determined and passionate but friendly self. He's sure to be missed by many.

We are sorry to learn of Bob's passing, but grateful for his service to our nation with the Peace Corps.

Our Condolences,
The National Peace Corps Association

Bob was one of the "good guys" during our high school years. My condolences go to his family and friends. It's clear that Bob left a positive footprint in our world!

That was a wonderful obituary written about Bob. Having known him for 58 years, I can't decide whether to say he was a lion or a mighty oak among his peers. Maybe both! For someone so kind, loving and generous of himself, he was also a leader in almost everything he did. Bob was so admired. He was always willing to discuss almost anything with someone else, but he always made his own mind up and often formed interesting if not unique ideas about how the world works. We all gravitated toward...

To me, he was always Gunga. I adored him in high school, and sadly, only saw him once after that. But I do remember him so fondly, and know there is a big, empty space left in the life of his family and friends with his passing.

Bob was a classmate at Ottawa Hills. I had the pleasure of enjoying his wonderful eating establishment in Plainwell. My thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was a friend in high school. I enjoyed reading of his many accomplishments since then. My prayers are with you. I know Bob will be greatly missed.

Sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Bob was a friend at OHHS and my first room mate at Western. We're here in Florida now but our thoughts are with the family. Tom Lurtsema
