To Ariels family: In so so sorry to hear about this. I knew Ariel only briefly, just recently, and liked her very much. She confided in me about her addiction and how pleased she was to be in recovery. She was a lovely young woman, and I hope that hearing about her death causes even just one person to get help. Please know that my thoughts are with you and that I will always remember your girl affection. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I was Ariel´s teacher and softball coach for a time at the high school- she was passionate, talented, and funny. Using the past tense to talk about her breaks my heart. I think the last time I saw her was when I chaperoned her junior prom. She came over to me with a huge smile on her face (I hadn´t seen her in a while)- she looked gorgeous, happy.
