Mark, Shelley, Betsy, Kyle and family, my sincere condolences on your loss of Arlene. Having loss my mother in May from ALS, I understand that intertwined in your grief are feelings of comfort knowing that Arlene is no longer suffering. If you want, let the raw emotions you are feeling serve as a reminder of how much Arlene loved each of you, as well as how much you love each other. I look forward to celebrating Arlene's life with you on Saturday.

To Mark (Shelley), all of La Crosse; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Carly (Joe) Kessler and their children, Mason and Lilah, Betsy Kallenbach, Jake (Sydney) Kallenbach, Kyle (Amanda) Kallenbach, and their children, Kinley and Brock and William S. (Cindy), Steven (Tina) and families: I know that you will miss your mother & grandmother, Arlene. I'm sorry for your sadness. Know that my thoughts are with you. God's peace.

In a recent sermon our associate priest Father Clement, talked about how much fun heaven would be. After Mass I said "Father, I have never heard heaven described as fun." He replied "Oh it will be REALLY REALLY FUN!"

Although I mourn the death of Arlene, it's comforting to know she's in the presence of God and is reuniting with departed loved ones. And since Arlene enjoyed life so much and had such a wonderful sense of humor, it's fitting that heaven will be fun for her and she'll...

Arlene certainly enjoyed life and made the most of her time here on earth. I am sure that she will find comfort in being with Ma and Dad along with Jeanette and Porky and experiencing the love of God for Arlene. We will remember the zest which Arlene had throughout her life and though she will be missed, we can look forward to being with her when our whole family is reunited in the place where all things are good with God.
Arlene's favorite brother, Ronnie

Rom. 6:23

One of my favorite people ever! Arlene was always a joy to be around. One of my favorite Arlene memories, being 5'2", she always teased, " How come you short girls always get the tall guys? Leave em for me!" (My hubby is 6'4" and she was an endless flirt with him and adorably so.) My condolence on losing this light in your lives.
