Arlene Margaret Mathews (nee Miles), Born February 3, 1928 in Belleville, Illinois.
Preceded in death by her mother, Frieda M. Hamann Miles Wood, her father Cornelius C. Miles, her step-father Albert Wood, her sister Betty and her husband, Terye Rasmussen, her sister Helen and her husband, William Kuehn, her daughter Kimberly Ann Mathews, her Great-Great Grandson Maverick Mathews, and nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Frank E. Mathews, her sister-in-law, Barbara Melancon, her sons, Craig M. (Andrea) Mathews, Sr, Bradley A. Mathews, Frank E, Mathews, II, her daughter, Susan E. (Patrick) Boley, and grandchildren, Great-Great-Grandchild. And many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services: Visitation will be at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 9:00 am until the time of Funeral Service at 11:30am. Burial at Walnut Hill Cemetery, 1101 Mascoutah Avenue, Belleville, Illinois following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association. Arlene was a very giving person to her family and also to her city of Winchester. I had the pleasure of serving with her on the Park Board. Arlene was president and did a great job. How well I remember her at our park picnics yelling out the Bingo numbers. Everyone had such a good time with her. She was always at the Easter egg hunt with the Easter bunny and all the little kids and their families. A great time was had by all. When Christmas came around the members of the park board ...

This little lady was a ball of fire and was there for her entire family.
