ARLENE C. STERN (nee Cramer), age 66, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2020 due to COVID-19 complications. She is survived by her husband Hal (of 47 ½ years), her daughter and son-in-law Amanda and Nathan Anderson, her sister and brother-in-law Marcia and Jeffrey Rubin, her grandson Matthew Anderson, and her two granddaughters Riley Mae and Blakely Eileen Stern (daughters of her late son Randy). Also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jay and Christine Stern and Brad and Elissa Stern, as well as 7 nieces and nephews, and 10 great nieces and nephews. She was a devoted daughter to her parents, the late Jean and Walter Cramer, as well as to her in-laws, the late Jerry and Lorraine Stern. She was a wonderful and adoring big sister to Marcia.
Arlene had many relatives and close friends that will tell you she would have given the shirt off her back to help any one in need. Her life was a living example of being a generous, kind, and compassionate person. She enjoyed spending time with her family (extended family as well), going out to dinner with her husband and friends, spending time at the shore, and watching the Hallmark channel. Shopping was a pastime that she and Amanda enjoyed together. One of her greatest joys in life was being a Mom Mom. She loved being able to spend time and play with Matthew. Arlene met Hal while still in high school. She later worked in her father's/brother-in-law's wall covering business while raising two children. She will be dearly missed by all.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, and keeping everyone's safety in mind, a service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the COVID-19 Response Fund, www.covid19responsefund.org. Cards and special memories can be sent to the home of Amanda and Nathan Anderson.

There are no words that can express how I will miss you. Talking to you everyday is something that we enjoyed. Some good laughs and tears. You were a true friend, that is hard to find. I have a picture you gave me in which I will keep very close. So sorry for all of your pain that you had to deal with and now you can watch over all of us. I love and miss you. RIP by dear friend.

It's not fair. You are the best person I know I hope that your no longer in pain and walking Rocky and getting Rand in line all the while dining with all your parents. This probably doesn't make much sense I have really slept since Monday. I'm exhausted but can't sleep hungry but can't eat I just want my mommy. Love you always. Pooh
