Arlene Mary Schaffner Turner
"Bonneau"
Our perfect sweetheart, mom, grandma, sister and friend Arlene Mary Schaffner Turner passed away on February 10, 2012. Born April 12, 1921 in Meadville, Pennsylvania to John P. and Susie E. Scowden Schaffner. She married William P. Turner on June 8, 1946 in Meadville, Pennsylvania where they began their journey and traveling which took them all over the country and to Australia twice.
She loved to play Bunco, but most of all she loved watching her granddaughter play softball and being with her family. She loved all things furry, so in lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, UT or the Humane Society.
She is survived by her husband Bill, daughter Cheryl (Mike) Anderson and granddaughter Taylor Anderson all of Herriman, sister Laura (Don) Porter of Meadville, PA and sisters-in-law Nina Schaffner of Meadville, PA and Margaret Schaffner of Riverside, CA. Preceded in death by her brothers Paul, John and Merle Schaffner and sister Ester Tokos.
Special thanks to the staff at Addington Memory Care and First Choice Hospice.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 So. 2200 W. in Riverton, UT. Inurnment will take place in the Utah Veteran's Memorial Park at a later date. www.broomheadfuneralhome.com

Not sure what to say?

Please accept our deepest sympathies.

Dear Uncle Bill...my heart aches for you knowing in full how you feel. We loved Aunt Arlene and will miss her very much. I sorry I wasnt around much but the miles have made it harder. We love you all and you are in our prayers.

Arlene was always so sweet when i did her hair. I will miss her. My heart goes out to you and your family.

We are so sorry to hear of Arlenes passing. She has always been one of my favorite people. She was such a good sport even when I showed up to take her to bonco in my little convertible (she said it was just her size). Such a beautiful person. We will miss her.

Bill, Mike, Cheryl, and Team, our little family has suffered a huge loss. Our Bonneau was a wonderful lady, and I am so thankful that she was such a big part of my life. My heart aches knowing that she is no longer here with us, but I am thankful that she is in a better place with no more pain and confusion. I promise that I will be here for each of you in whatever capacity you may need. I love you all very much. I love you Bonneau!!
