Condolences to the McBride family from your neighbors across Harvey street. Mr Mac was one of the sweetest persons I ever met. Enjoyed watching him hitting golf balls, reminded me of my dad. Prayers and hugs to all the family. If you need anything, I'm right across the street. Please don't hesitate to call on me for anything.

Dear Bernice and the entire family,

You are in my thoughts and prayers. I will miss Bro. McBride. He was truly a man who set a standard of Godly grace, joy and strength. I thank God for his words of encouragement that he shared with as a young black man growing up. I will miss my dear Omega brother and friend.

I met McBride in 1970 when I was a freshman trying to make the football team at Alabama A&M University. He was a senior and led us onto the field every day with the same statement,,..."everybody gonna fall out today". That statement became a common greeting for us. God had a vacancy for a nice guy with good character and dignity. R.I.P my brother. "Team Thumb" ....Big Smitty
