Arlester Williams was born March 18, 1941 in Johnston County to the late Lester Cole and Ruby (Williams) Poston. He was reared also by the Late James Poston. Arlester departed this life early Saturday morning on August 13, 2016. Arlester was a member of the Bentonville Disciples of Christ Church and also was a proud member of the Four Oaks Men's Community Outreach. He is remembered for his unique, gentle and affectionate spirit, which was felt by all that he encountered. He is known in the community by his friends and family for lending a hand for whatever thy needed and were unable to do for themselves. How can we forget his signature collard greens, which were a delight to eat. Arlester was formerly married to Vickie (McSwain) Williams which 6 Children were born. Arlester leaves 5 Children to cherish his memories, Aubrey Williams and Lisa Williams both of Selma NC, Wayne Williams (Felicia) of Four Oaks NC, Eric Williams of Charlotte NC, and Shawn Ratley of Raleigh NC. His son's Cameron T Williams and Derrick Williams both preceded him in death. Arlester also leaves to cherish his memories, 2 brother's Wade Poston and Charles Cole both of Four Oaks, NC. 6 Sisters, Vandora Blunt of Raleigh NC, Brenda Smith, Mary Mccall(Kirk), and Ann Cole of Four Oaks NC, Terry Cole of Sanford and Thelma Jackson of Dunn. 1 Uncle, Demetrius Raynor, 2 Aunts, Ludie Raynor and Mary Stroud all of Four Oaks. 9 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephew cousins and friends. It's impossible to name all of his dear friends that were extremely special to him, however the family is very grateful for your contribution to his life. Tributes: Today, our hearts are very heavy. You were the one that we could depend on when we needed you. For this we will be forever grateful. Daddy your love and memories will be sacred in our hearts always. With our deepest love, daddy. Your children. Granddaddy, the thought of you not being here hurts. We know that you are safe in God's arm. You will be deeply missed. Love, your grandchildren. Arlester, you were a special brother to us. We greatly appreciated the time we shared. Your love and support will always be cherished and remembered.
