So sorry to hear of Arletta 's passing. I knew her when we were young. She was fun and full of energy. My sister, Maryion Lee told me about her artistic abilility, good works,and her home which she shared with others. So in ways I have been able to keep up with her..My best wishes to the family. Arletta was a joy to work with at The Flint Journal. Her compassion and friendship will never be forgotten. So sorry for your loss.

A 58 year friendship of being birthday buddies and so much more , that ended too soon, and though ill for the last year, still seemed sudden. We danced at the Phi Delta Tau New Years Eve ballroom parties ( hope I remembered name correctly) ....dressed to the nines and noticeably pregnant. ....not common practice then. The fraternity was first integrated one on Flints UM/Community College campus. We, with spouses, hosted home gatherings that were social, but also advanced civil and...
