Not sure what to say?

What a life Arley led outside the walls of Beaverton High. It was a great honor to teach with him for seven years, where he took care of business and directed activities.

I remember Mr. Boyce very well; many Westfalls attended BHS, including our late oldest brother whom Mr. Boyce helped get into the Navy. Our Dad served with Mr. Boyce aboard CVE Attu just after the war, Dad as a Flight Surgeon - I believe Mr. Boyce was in the CIC. We have a photo album taken aboard Attu - I love the one of Mr. Boyce, in his shorts, enjoying liberty on Mog Mog Island. During a reunion of U.S.S. Attu, held in Portland, I represented our family and Mr. Boyce remembered me...

Naval Radioman Arley Boyce, Feb 8, 1944, age 20

Love you forever Uncle Arley. Here is a photo from your big brother's WWII scrapebook, both of you serving in the United States Navy. Thank you for your service.

We all LOVED Mr. Boyce, especially if you could get his sly smile out. If I am correct, he became Dean of Students when I was there. He very sternly told us girls, we could not wear sandals as showing your toes might encourage the boys! (Can you image these days?).
To you, his family...he was inspiring, fair, mentoring and always had our backs, if needed. Condolences❤

I am very saddened to hear of the passing of my friend Arley. Arley and I were colleagues at Beaverton High School for many years. He was an incredibly kind and caring individual, who brought joy to those around him. His passing is a great loss to this community. My thoughts and prayers are with the Boyce family.

Mr. Boyce was a GREAT and UNDERSTANDING Principal. I got to know him quite well as I frequented his office a lot. (Too much Tom’s Pancake house over social studies) Very kind and gentle soul. RIP sir

Mr Boyce was the BEST vice principal! And then after graduation. I got a job at Lambs Thriftway in Garden home.. And he was one of my favorite customers there. Him and his lovely wife would come through my line all the time. Love talking with them.. ❤❤❤
Oh and one of his Daughters would come in too.. So remember that BIG smile he had.
