Arley Wenzler

Art Wenzler was a good friend of mine for so many years. I remember playing football with him on Lakeview High School teams in 1957, 1958, and 1959. He was a great, hard-nosed player on both offense and defense and a guy I was proud to have on my side of the ball. I remember that his dad would sometimes sit with my dad and watch us play ball. He also worked with my son at Heritage Chevrolet. Later in life, I enjoyed a number of fine conversations with him in our once a month "Old Guys"...

I got to know him better since our 50th class reunion. We have a group called “the old guys” and we meet the first Thursday of every month. Arley was one of our group and we all got to know him better. We will miss our times together. He really loved golfing with some of our guys. My sympathy to his family.
